During the 2024, the corporate volunteer program has been strengthened, an initiative that allows our employees to be an active part of social change. Through activities focused on inclusion, adapted sport and caring for the environment, we have continued to consolidate our positive contribution to the community.
For this reason, we highlight some of the most relevant initiatives that have marked our corporate volunteering program during 2024:
On February 4, more than 200 ROVI employees participated in this race organized by the Manantial Foundation. This event, which brought together more than 3,000 runners, sought to make visible the importance of social and labour inclusion of people with mental health problems. The tour crossed iconic points of Madrid such as Parque del Oeste and Plaza de España and allowed participants to unite sport and social commitment.
In collaboration with También Foundation, a group of ROVI volunteers had the opportunity to participate in the Adapted Ski Campus. This initiative allowed our employees not only to get to know the needs of the participants closely, but also to contribute to the development of their skills in an inclusive and sporting environment.
Several ROVI employees from the province of Granada participate in the VIII Inclusive Churriana Integra Race organized by the Granada Integra association, dedicated to promoting and promoting adapted sport for people with physical disabilities.
In October, the Padel ROVI Tournament brought together 42 couples to compete in different categories. Thanks to the collaboration with the A la Par Foundation, this event was not only a sports day, but also an activity designed to promote integration and equality.
As part of our commitment to adapted sport, our volunteers participated in a 16-kilometre route organised together with the Sport and Challenge Foundation. This tour of the “Laguna de El Aguadero” and the Dúrcal River Falls, in the province of Granada, allowed you to enjoy a privileged natural environment while strengthening the bonds of inclusion.
Caring for the environment is a priority at Laboratorios ROVI. In collaboration with the Deporte y Desafío Foundation, our employees participated in a day of hiking that included the selective collection of waste and recycling workshops. This activity made it possible to combine sustainability, sport and environmental awareness.
The collaboration with the También Foundation extended to the already emblematic descent of the Adapted Sella, held every summer in Asturias and which is an event that reaffirms the power of sport as a tool for inclusion. During the event, our volunteers accompanied the participants on a 15-kilometre journey, promoting values such as equality and teamwork.
Together with the Granada Integra Foundation, Rovi organised a day of inclusive activities at the Cubillas Reservoir in Granada. Employees participated in canoeing, Dragon Boat, archery and zipline, promoting the practice of adapted sport and reinforcing their commitment to inclusion.
In collaboration with the Deporte y Desafío Foundation, our employees participated in activities designed to raise awareness of functional diversity. Dog-assisted dynamics, craft workshops and volleyball classes were part of a day aimed at fostering teamwork and empathy.
On November 5, 80 ROVI employees participated in the 12th edition of this inclusive race organized by the También Foundation. This event stands out in our annual calendar as a space to promote coexistence and integration through sport.
With a total of 108 employees, ROVI broke its own record for participation in the emblematic Companies Race, touring the Paseo de la Castellana along with the rest of 27,000 runners belonging to more than 1,500 registered companies.
With each of these initiatives, at ROVI we have reaffirmed our commitment to integrating sustainability and social responsibility at the heart of our business activity. Because at Laboratorios ROVI we are convinced that change begins by joining forces.
