After two years of interruption due to the pandemic, ROVI has reactivated its corporate volunteering program by accompanying participants of the Foundation “TAMBIÉN” during the XXIX Edition of the Descent of the Adapted Sella, a test organized by the Federation of Sports for People with Physical Disabilities of the Principality of Asturias (FEDEMA) and held on July 31.
The Corporate Volunteering program is one of the fundamental elements on which ROVI's Social Action is articulated, since through it employees are offered the possibility of having first-hand contact with social causes, non-profit organizations and foundations supported by the company.
On this occasion, Rovi has again collaborated with the Foundation “TAMBIÉN”, an entity that promotes sports and leisure activities adapted to people with disabilities, promoting educational and inclusive values that are in line with ROVI's philosophy.
The Descent of the Sella
In this last edition of the Descent, ten employees of ROVI accompanied in double canoe athletes of the Also Foundation, in a competition that counted with the participation of 160 athletes, of which 64 were athletes with disabilities. As every year, the race was divided into two stages: the first, non-competitive, includes the 10 km that separate the Asturian School of Canoeing in Arriondas and the revolt known as The Nail. The second, of five kilometers of competition, has the goal in the bridge of Feve in Llovio (Ribadesella).
